BURKHARD’S HERBAL has been prepared after careful study to provide relief and effectiveness to those who need it. It promotes a laxative effect with herbal ingredients and a wonderful smell and fennel flavor. It contains Senna which supports the stimulation of intestinal motility, mainly of the colon, and reduces the absorption of water and electrolytes. Senna is an herb used since ancient times to support good bowel function due to its laxative properties. The composition also contains a mixture of leaves, bark and seeds from the traditional herb Buckthorn, Elder leaf, Mint, and Cardamom, known for their promotion of a laxative effect, as they facilitate the intestinal motility. Fennel is used as a supplement for various digestive problems including heartburn, intestinal gas, bloating, loss of appetite, and colic in infants among others. Ceylon Cinnamon is traditional used to treat gastrointestinal (GI) upset, diarrhea, gas, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBD). It also contains the bark of Ulmus Rubra (Slippery Elm Bark), which helps to soothe pain and bowel discomfort. It is suggested that this supplement be used as a tool to aid the intestinal function to its normality and then occasionally when needed.
